Description
10-Minute Strawberry Salsa is a quick and refreshing salsa made with fresh strawberries, cilantro, lime, and jalapeño for a perfect balance of sweet, tangy, and spicy flavors. Ideal for serving with chips, grilled chicken, or fish.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, diced
- 1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
- 1 small jalapeño, deseeded and finely chopped
- 1/4 cup fresh cilantro, chopped
- 1 tbsp lime juice (freshly squeezed)
- 1 tbsp honey or agave syrup (optional, for extra sweetness)
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp ground cumin (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium bowl, combine the diced strawberries, red onion, jalapeño, and cilantro.
- Add the lime juice, honey (if using), salt, pepper, and cumin (if using). Stir everything together until well combined.
- Let the salsa sit for about 5 minutes to allow the flavors to meld together.
- Serve immediately with tortilla chips, grilled chicken, fish tacos, or use as a topping for salads or burgers.
Notes
- For a spicier salsa, keep some of the seeds from the jalapeño or add more jalapeño to taste.
- This salsa is best served fresh but can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 day.
- Feel free to adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey or agave syrup.
- For a fun twist, you can add diced mango or pineapple to the salsa for extra tropical flavors.
