- 8 oz noodles (lo mein or spaghetti)
- 1/2 lb ground beef
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 1/4 cup beef broth
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tsp fresh ginger, minced
- 1 tsp garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- Red pepper flakes (optional for spice)
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Cook the noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a small bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, beef broth, and cornstarch until smooth. Set aside.
- In a large skillet, heat sesame oil over medium heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart as it cooks, about 3-5 minutes.
- Add minced ginger and garlic to the beef and sauté for another 1-2 minutes, until fragrant.
- Pour in the sauce mixture and stir until the sauce begins to thicken, around 2 minutes.
- Add the cooked noodles and toss everything together to coat. Sprinkle in green onions and red pepper flakes, if desired.
- Serve hot, garnished with sesame seeds and additional green onions.

- Adjust the level of spice by adding more or fewer red pepper flakes according to your preference.
