Description

This creamy, cheesy, and meaty dip is the ultimate crowd-pleaser for game day. With just five simple ingredients, it comes together quickly and bakes into a bubbling, delicious treat!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp taco seasoning
  • 1 (8 oz) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 (8 oz) jar salsa (mild, medium, or hot, to taste)
  • 1 ½ cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 400°F (200°C).
  • Cook the Ground Beef:
Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned with no pink remaining. Drain excess fat, then mix in the taco seasoning. Stir well to combine.
  • Layer the Dip:
In a pie dish or similar baking dish, spread the softened cream cheese evenly over the bottom. Pour the salsa over the cream cheese layer, spreading it evenly. Spoon the seasoned ground beef over the salsa layer, then top with shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Bake the Dip:
Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  • Serve:
Remove from the oven and let cool for a few minutes before serving. Serve with tortilla chips, crackers, or vegetable sticks for dipping.

Notes

  • You can adjust the spice level by choosing mild, medium, or hot salsa.
  • For a healthier option, use lean ground turkey instead of beef.
  • This dip can be made ahead of time and baked when ready to serve.
  • Top with sour cream, jalapeños, or chopped cilantro for extra flavor.
  • For added richness, sprinkle extra cheese on top before baking.
