Description

Fluffy, tender biscuits made quickly using 7-Up soda for a light texture and subtle sweetness—perfect for breakfast or alongside any meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 3/4 cup 7-Up soda (or any lemon-lime soda)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt.
  3. Cut in cold butter using a pastry cutter or fork until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  4. Pour in 7-Up soda and stir just until dough comes together. Do not overmix.
  5. Turn dough onto a floured surface and gently pat to about 1-inch thickness.
  6. Use a biscuit cutter or glass to cut out biscuits and place them on the baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  8. Serve warm with butter, honey, or your favorite jam.

Notes

  • Substitute with other lemon-lime sodas if 7-Up is unavailable.
  • For a savory twist, add 1 tsp dried herbs like rosemary or thyme.
  • Use buttermilk instead of soda for a tangier biscuit.
