Description

This Pepperoni Pizza Layer Cake combines the classic flavors of pizza in a fun, layered format. With gooey mozzarella, savory pepperoni, and seasoned ground beef, it’s a crowd-pleaser that’s perfect for parties or family dinners!

For the Pizza Layers:

  • 2 pre-made pizza crusts (store-bought or homemade)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 cup cooked ground beef (seasoned with salt and pepper)

For the Toppings:

  • Extra pepperoni slices
  • Additional shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil or oregano (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Assemble the First Layer: Place one pizza crust on the baking sheet. Spread ½ cup of pizza sauce evenly over the crust. Sprinkle with 1 cup of mozzarella cheese, then top with ½ cup of pepperoni slices and ½ cup of cooked ground beef.
  • Add the Second Layer: Place the second pizza crust on top of the first layer. Spread the remaining pizza sauce, sprinkle with the rest of the mozzarella cheese, and add the remaining pepperoni and ground beef.
  • Top and Bake: Add extra pepperoni slices and a bit more cheese on top for a crispy, melty finish. Bake for 15-18 minutes, or until the cheese is bubbly and golden.
  • Garnish (Optional): Once out of the oven, garnish with fresh basil or oregano if desired.
  • Slice and Serve: Let the pizza layer cake cool slightly, then cut into wedges like a cake and serve hot.
