Instructions
- Prepare the Crust:
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix graham cracker crumbs and sugar in a bowl. Add the melted butter and mix until well combined.
- Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan, creating an even layer.
- Bake for 10 minutes. Set aside to cool.
- Make the Filling:
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
- Mix in the vanilla extract, orange zest, and sour cream until fully incorporated.
- Bake the Cheesecake:
- Pour the cream cheese mixture over the cooled crust and spread it evenly.
- Bake at 325°F (160°C) for 55–60 minutes, or until the center is set and slightly jiggly.
- Turn off the oven, leave the cheesecake inside with the door ajar, and let it cool slowly to avoid cracking.
- Prepare the Orange Layer:
- In a small saucepan, heat the orange marmalade, orange juice, and water over medium heat until the mixture is smooth and spreadable. Remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.
- Assemble:
- Once the cheesecake has cooled completely, spread the orange marmalade mixture evenly over the top.
- Chill the cheesecake in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.
- Garnish and Serve:
- Before serving, decorate with dollops of whipped cream and fresh orange slices. Slice and enjoy!
