Ingredients
Scale
- 2 medium sweet potatoes
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat the air fryer to 400°F (200°C).
- Wash the sweet potatoes thoroughly and pat them dry with a paper towel.
- Rub each sweet potato with olive oil to coat the skin evenly.
- Sprinkle the sweet potatoes with salt and pepper.
- Place the sweet potatoes in the air fryer basket, ensuring they’re not overcrowded.
- Cook the sweet potatoes in the air fryer for 35-40 minutes, turning them halfway through the cooking time.
- Check the doneness by inserting a fork or knife into the center; it should go in easily. If the sweet potatoes are not yet tender, cook for an additional 5-10 minutes.
- Once done, remove the sweet potatoes from the air fryer and let them rest for a few minutes.
- Slice open and serve with your favorite toppings (butter, cinnamon, brown sugar, etc.) or enjoy as is.
Notes
- Sweet potatoes can vary in size, so adjust the cooking time based on the size of the potatoes.
- For a variation, try adding a sprinkle of cinnamon, nutmeg, or paprika for extra flavor.
- You can also wrap the sweet potatoes in foil for a softer skin, but this is optional.
