Description

These Air Fryer Biscuit Donuts are a quick and easy way to make delicious homemade donuts without the hassle of frying in oil. Using refrigerated biscuit dough, these donuts are air-fried to perfection, golden and crispy on the outside, soft and fluffy on the inside. Coated with cinnamon sugar or topped with a sweet glaze, they’re the perfect treat for breakfast, brunch, or a sweet snack!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can refrigerated biscuit dough (8 biscuits)
  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon

Optional Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tablespoons milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the air fryer: Preheat your air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Prepare the donuts: Open the biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Use a small round cutter (or a bottle cap) to punch a hole in the center of each biscuit to create the donut shape. You can also use your fingers to gently create the hole.
  3. Air fry the donuts: Lightly spray the air fryer basket with non-stick spray or line it with parchment paper. Place the donuts in the air fryer basket in a single layer, leaving space between each one. Air fry at 350°F (175°C) for 5-6 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through. Flip halfway through for even cooking.
  4. Coat the donuts: While the donuts are cooling slightly, melt the butter in a small bowl. In a separate bowl, mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Once the donuts are done, dip each donut into the melted butter, then roll it in the cinnamon-sugar mixture to coat evenly.
  5. Optional glaze: For a sweet glaze, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth. Drizzle the glaze over the donuts after they’ve been coated with cinnamon sugar.
  6. Serve: Enjoy your warm, freshly made air fryer biscuit donuts!

Notes

  • For a different coating, you can sprinkle the donuts with powdered sugar instead of cinnamon sugar or add sprinkles for a fun twist.
  • You can also add chocolate glaze by dipping the donuts in melted chocolate instead of the glaze for a richer flavor.
  • If you prefer a healthier option, you can use an air fryer donut pan to bake the donuts instead of frying them.
