Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package wonton wrappers (about 12–15 wrappers)
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- ¼ cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup blueberry compote (or blueberry jam)
- 1 tbsp lemon zest (optional)
- Cooking spray or oil for spraying the wontons
- ¼ cup sugar (for coating, optional)
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
- Lay out the wonton wrappers on a clean surface. Place a spoonful of the cream cheese mixture in the center of each wrapper.
- Top the cream cheese mixture with a small spoonful of blueberry compote.
- Brush the edges of the wonton wrapper with a little water, then fold the wrapper in half to form a triangle or seal the edges into an envelope shape. Press the edges to seal.
- Preheat the air fryer to 350°F (175°C).
- Lightly spray the wontons with cooking spray or brush with a little oil to help them crisp up.
- Arrange the wontons in a single layer in the air fryer basket and cook for 5-7 minutes or until golden and crispy.
- Once cooked, let them cool slightly before dusting with sugar (optional).
- Serve with extra blueberry compote or fresh berries if desired.
Notes
- If you don’t have blueberry compote, blueberry jam or fresh blueberries cooked down with a bit of sugar can be used.
- You can also try using other fruit compotes such as strawberry or raspberry for a different flavor.
