This Air Fryer Cheesy Tortilla Garlic Bread is a quick and delicious twist on traditional garlic bread. Using tortillas as the base, it’s topped with melted cheese, garlic butter, and a sprinkle of herbs for a savory, crispy treat. Ingredients
- 2 large flour tortillas (or corn tortillas for a gluten-free version)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning (or a mix of oregano, basil, and thyme)
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish, optional)
Instructions

Prepare the Garlic Butter Mixture:
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Stir until well mixed. -
Prepare the Tortillas:
Lay the tortillas flat on a clean surface. Brush one side of each tortilla generously with the garlic butter mixture. -
Add the Cheese:
Sprinkle half of the mozzarella cheese and Parmesan (if using) over the buttered side of the tortillas. -
Air Fry the Tortillas:
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C). Place the tortillas in the air fryer basket (you may need to cut them in half or quarters to fit, depending on the size of your air fryer).
Air fry the tortillas for about 4-5 minutes, or until the edges are golden and crispy, and the cheese is melted. -
Serve:
Remove from the air fryer and garnish with freshly chopped parsley, if desired. Slice into wedges and serve immediately.
Notes
- You can use different types of cheese based on your preference. Cheddar, provolone, or a blend would work great!
- For a spicier version, add a sprinkle of red pepper flakes or a bit of hot sauce to the garlic butter.
- You can also add a little extra cheese on top after air frying and return it to the air fryer for 1-2 minutes to melt further.
- If you like a crispier texture, try brushing both sides of the tortillas with garlic butter before air frying.
