These Air Fryer Garlic Parmesan Fries are crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and loaded with delicious garlic and Parmesan flavor. The perfect side dish or snack, they’re quick, easy, and healthier than deep-fried fries!
Ingredients
- 3 large russet potatoes, cut into fries
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese
- ½ teaspoon salt (or to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
- ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)

Prepare the Potatoes:
Peel the potatoes (if desired) and cut them into fries. Place the fries in a bowl of cold water for at least 30 minutes to remove excess starch. This helps them become crispier. After soaking, drain the fries and pat them dry with paper towels. -
Season the Fries:
In a large bowl, toss the fries with olive oil, minced garlic, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder. Make sure the fries are evenly coated in the seasoning. -
Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes. -
Cook the Fries:
Place the seasoned fries in the air fryer basket in a single layer. Depending on the size of your air fryer, you may need to cook them in batches.
Air fry the fries for 15-20 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through cooking to ensure they cook evenly. The fries should be golden brown and crispy when done. -
Toss in Parmesan and Serve:
Once the fries are cooked, immediately toss them in grated Parmesan cheese while they’re still hot. Sprinkle fresh chopped parsley on top if desired for added freshness and color. -
Serve & Enjoy:
Serve the garlic Parmesan fries hot with your favorite dipping sauce, such as ketchup, ranch, or aioli.
Notes
- For extra flavor, you can add a pinch of red pepper flakes for some heat.
- If you like your fries extra crispy, you can cook them for an additional 3-5 minutes in the air fryer, checking regularly to avoid overcooking.
