Crispy, buttery buns wrapped around melty cheddar and juicy hot dogs make the ultimate easy meal or snack. Ingredients

  • 4 hot dog buns
  • 4 hot dogs
  • 8 slices cheddar cheese (or your preferred cheese)
  • 2 tablespoons butter (softened)
  • Optional toppings: ketchup, mustard, relish, onions

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Air Fryer: Set to 375°F (190°C) and let it preheat for 3 minutes.
  2. Cook the Hot Dogs: Place hot dogs in the air fryer basket and cook for 4–5 minutes until heated through and slightly crispy. Remove and set aside.
  3. Assemble Grilled Cheese Hot Dogs: Butter the inside and outside of each bun. Add one slice of cheese inside the bun, place the hot dog on top, and cover with another slice of cheese.
  4. Air Fry the Assembled Dogs: Carefully place the assembled buns into the air fryer basket. Cook at 375°F for 4–6 minutes, or until golden and melty.
  5. Serve and Top: Remove and top with ketchup, mustard, relish, or onions if desired. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use different cheeses like mozzarella, pepper jack, or American.
  • For an extra crisp, use brioche buns.
