Description

These Air Fryer Honey Butter Garlic Chicken Tenders are crispy, juicy, and bursting with flavor. Coated in a sweet honey butter sauce with a garlic kick, these chicken tenders are the perfect healthier alternative to deep-fried chicken, all while keeping the same crispy crunch!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb chicken tenders (about 8 tenders)
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt and pepper, to taste

For the Honey Butter Garlic Sauce:

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ tsp dried thyme or Italian seasoning (optional)
  • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for a bit of heat)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Chicken Tenders:
Pat the chicken tenders dry with paper towels. Rub them with olive oil and season with salt and pepper on both sides.

  2. Preheat the Air Fryer:
Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.

  3. Cook the Chicken Tenders:
Arrange the seasoned chicken tenders in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Air fry for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the chicken is golden brown and fully cooked (internal temperature should reach 165°F or 74°C).

  4. Prepare the Honey Butter Garlic Sauce:
While the chicken is cooking, melt the butter in a small bowl. Add the honey, minced garlic, thyme (or Italian seasoning), and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until well combined.

  5. Coat the Chicken:
Once the chicken tenders are cooked, transfer them to a large bowl. Pour the honey butter garlic sauce over the tenders and toss to coat evenly.

  6. Serve and Enjoy:
Serve the honey butter garlic chicken tenders with your favorite sides, such as fries, roasted vegetables, or a fresh salad.

Notes

  • You can use boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips, if you don’t have chicken tenders.
  • For an extra crispy finish, spray the chicken tenders with a little cooking spray before air frying.
  • Add some chopped parsley on top for a burst of color and freshness.
