Description

These Air Fryer Tangy Honey BBQ Steak Bites are the perfect combination of savory, sweet, and tangy. The tender steak is coated in a flavorful honey BBQ sauce, making each bite irresistible. Quick, easy, and perfect for a party snack or dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Steak Bites:

    • 1 lb sirloin steak or your preferred cut of steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • For the Tangy Honey BBQ Sauce:

    • ½ cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)
    • 2 tbsp honey
    • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
    • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
    • 1 tsp smoked paprika
    • ½ tsp garlic powder
    • ¼ tsp onion powder
    • ¼ tsp red pepper flakes (optional for heat)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Steak Bites:

    • Cut the steak into bite-sized cubes and season with salt and pepper.
    • Drizzle olive oil over the steak cubes and toss to coat evenly.
  2. Preheat the Air Fryer:

    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C) for about 5 minutes.
  3. Cook the Steak Bites:

    • Place the seasoned steak bites in the air fryer basket in a single layer (you may need to do this in batches depending on the size of your air fryer).
    • Air fry at 400°F (200°C) for 7-10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through the cooking time for even cooking. The steak bites should be browned and cooked to your desired doneness.
  4. Prepare the Honey BBQ Sauce:

    • While the steak bites are cooking, combine the BBQ sauce, honey, apple cider vinegar, Worcestershire sauce, smoked paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, and red pepper flakes (if using) in a small saucepan over medium heat.
    • Stir frequently and bring to a simmer. Let it cook for 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly. Remove from heat.
  5. Toss the Steak Bites in the Sauce:

    • Once the steak bites are done cooking, transfer them to a large bowl.
    • Pour the tangy honey BBQ sauce over the steak bites and toss to coat evenly.
  6. Serve:

    • Serve the honey BBQ steak bites as an appetizer, snack, or main dish. Garnish with chopped parsley or extra BBQ sauce if desired.

Notes

  • If you prefer a thicker BBQ sauce, you can simmer it longer until it reaches your desired consistency.
  • For an added kick, you can increase the amount of red pepper flakes or add a dash of hot sauce to the sauce mixture.
  • These steak bites are great for serving at parties, game day, or as a fun dinner option.
