Description

This refreshing and vibrant DIY Pink Drink is inspired by the popular Starbucks beverage, but made with ingredients from Aldi! With a base of coconut milk, a hint of strawberry, and a splash of green tea, this pink drink is the perfect way to cool off on a warm day. Simple to make and just as delicious, you can now enjoy this trendy drink right at home!

Ingredients

Scale
  • For the Drink:
    • 1 cup coconut milk (Aldi carries several coconut milk options, use the unsweetened variety)
    • 1/2 cup unsweetened strawberry juice (Aldi sells pure strawberry juice, but you can also use a strawberry-flavored syrup or concentrate)
    • 1/2 cup brewed green tea (cooled)
    • 1 tablespoon honey or sweetener of your choice (adjust to taste)
    • 1/2 cup ice cubes
    • 1/4 cup freeze-dried strawberries (optional, for garnish)
    • 1/4 cup sliced strawberries (optional, for garnish)
  • For the Ice Cream Float (Optional):
    • 12 scoops of vanilla ice cream (Aldi offers several varieties)

Instructions

  1. Brew the Green Tea:
    • Brew a cup of green tea and let it cool to room temperature. If you’re in a hurry, you can brew it and then chill it in the fridge to speed up the cooling process.
  2. Mix the Base:
    • In a glass or a cocktail shaker, combine the cooled green tea, coconut milk, and strawberry juice (or syrup).
    • Add honey or sweetener to taste and stir until fully combined.
  3. Add Ice:
    • Fill a glass with ice cubes, and pour the pink drink mixture over the ice.
  4. Garnish and Serve:
    • For extra color and texture, garnish your drink with freeze-dried strawberries or fresh sliced strawberries.
    • If you want an extra creamy version, add 1-2 scoops of vanilla ice cream to the drink, giving it a float-like twist.
  5. Enjoy:
    • Stir everything together and enjoy your homemade Aldi-inspired Pink Drink!

Notes

  • You can adjust the sweetness of the drink based on your preferences by adding more or less honey or sweetener.
  • For a lighter version, you can use light coconut milk or almond milk instead of regular coconut milk.
  • Freeze-dried strawberries add extra flavor and crunch, but they are optional.
  • This recipe can be doubled or tripled for a group or party!
