Instructions
- Prepare the Pan and Preheat Oven: Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan and line it with parchment paper, leaving an overhang for easy removal. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Make the Crisp Topping: In a bowl, mix flour, oats, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Stir in melted butter until evenly moistened. Refrigerate until ready to use.
- Prepare the Cinnamon-Sugar Mixture: Combine brown sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and set aside.
- Prepare the Apples: Toss diced apples with granulated sugar and cinnamon in a bowl; set aside.
- Make the Bread Batter:
- In a medium bowl, combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
- In a large bowl, beat butter, sugar, and vanilla until creamy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
- Gradually add dry ingredients, alternating with milk, mixing until just combined.
- Make the Cheesecake Filling: Beat cream cheese, sugar, flour, and vanilla until smooth. Add the egg and mix until just combined. Set aside.
- Assemble the Bread:
- Spread half of the bread batter in the loaf pan.
- Sprinkle half of the apple mixture and the cinnamon-sugar mixture over the batter.
- Spoon the cheesecake filling on top of the apples, spreading gently.
- Add the remaining bread batter, smooth the top, scatter the remaining apples, and sprinkle with the crisp topping.
- Bake: Bake for 55-70 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Tent with foil if the top is browning too much.
- Cool and Glaze: Let cool in the pan for 20-30 minutes, then lift out using the parchment overhang and transfer to a wire rack.
- Prepare the Glaze: Mix powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla in a bowl and drizzle over the cooled bread.
