Description

Apple Pie Quesadillas combine the best of both worlds: the sweet, cinnamon-spiced flavor of apple pie with the crispy, cheesy goodness of a quesadilla. This quick and easy recipe is perfect for a fun dessert, snack, or unique breakfast. The warm, gooey cheese and caramelized apples inside the crispy tortillas make every bite irresistibly delicious!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 2 apples, thinly sliced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded

Instructions

  • Prepare the Apples: In a bowl, toss the thinly sliced apples with cinnamon and sugar until well coated.
  • Cook the Apples: Heat 1 tablespoon of butter in a skillet over medium heat. Once melted, add the apples and cook for 2-3 minutes until they soften slightly and become fragrant.
  • Assemble the Quesadillas: Place a tortilla in the skillet. Layer with the cinnamon-sugar apples and sprinkle with cheddar cheese.
  • Cook the Quesadilla: Top with a second tortilla and cook until the bottom is golden brown and crispy, about 2-3 minutes. Flip and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted.
  • Repeat: Repeat the process with the remaining tortillas, apples, and cheese.
  • Serve: Once cooked, remove from the skillet and cut into wedges. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can use other types of cheese, but cheddar adds a savory contrast to the sweetness of the apples.
  • For an added flavor boost, try drizzling a little caramel sauce or honey over the quesadillas before serving.
  • These quesadillas are best served warm right after cooking.
  • If you prefer a lighter option, use low-fat cheese and butter.
