- 1/4 cup crumbled feta cheese or cotija cheese (optional)
- 1 lime, cut into wedges
For the Sauce:
- 1/2 cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon lime juice
- 1 teaspoon chili powder
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 teaspoon hot sauce (optional, for extra heat)
Instructions
- Prepare the Sauce:
- In a small bowl, combine the sour cream or Greek yogurt, lime juice, chili powder, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until smooth and well combined. If you like it spicier, add a teaspoon of hot sauce and mix it in.
- Warm the Tortillas:
- Heat the tortillas in a dry skillet over medium heat for about 30 seconds per side until warm and slightly toasted, or wrap them in a damp paper towel and microwave for 30 seconds.
- Assemble the Tacos:
- Lay the warm tortillas flat and spread a little of the prepared sauce on each tortilla.
- Add a few slices of avocado to each taco, followed by shredded lettuce, diced tomato, red onion, and cilantro. Sprinkle with crumbled feta or cotija cheese (if using).
- Serve:
- Squeeze a wedge of lime over the tacos for extra freshness and zest.
