Description

A delicious and easy weeknight meal that combines tender BBQ chicken with sweet Hawaiian rolls and melty cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (12-count) package Hawaiian sweet slider rolls
  • 2 to 2 ½ cups shredded chicken (cooked)
  • ⅔ cup BBQ sauce
  • 6 slices Cooper® Sharp Yellow Pasteurized Process American Cheese (or white cheese)
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • In a small bowl, combine the shredded chicken with the BBQ sauce and mix until all the chicken is well coated.
  • Use a bread knife to cut the rolls in half horizontally and remove the top. Place the bottom halves on a baking pan.
  • Add the BBQ chicken to the rolls in an even layer, covering all sliders.
  • Top the chicken with the slices of cheese. Place the tops of the slider rolls back on and press down gently.
  • In a small bowl, combine the melted butter and garlic powder. Brush the tops of the slider rolls with the melted butter. Cover the baking dish with foil.
  • Bake at 350°F for 15-20 minutes, or until warmed through and the cheese is melted.

Notes

  • You can use rotisserie chicken for convenience.
  • Feel free to customize the BBQ sauce to your taste.
