Description

This Baked Feta with Olives and Sun-dried Tomatoes is a deliciously simple appetizer that’s bursting with Mediterranean flavors. Perfectly creamy feta cheese is baked until soft and golden, surrounded by savory olives and tangy sun-dried tomatoes. Ingredients

  • 1 block feta cheese
  • 1/2 cup Kalamata olives, pitted and chopped
  • 1/2 cup sun-dried tomatoes, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • Fresh basil leaves, for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  • Place the block of feta in the center of a small baking dish.
  • Scatter chopped olives, sun-dried tomatoes, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, and crushed red pepper flakes (if using) around the feta.
  • Drizzle olive oil over the feta and toppings. Season with freshly ground black pepper.
  • Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the feta is soft and begins to brown slightly around the edges.
  • Remove from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider marinating the olives in olive oil and herbs before using them.
