Description

These Baked Mozzarella Stuffed Meatballs hide a molten cheese surprise inside! Perfect over pasta, in subs, or as party appetizers. 


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (80/20 blend)

  • 1 lb ground pork

  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan

  • 2 eggs

  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)

  • ¼ cup fresh parsley (chopped)

  • 1 tsp dried oregano

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 8 oz mozzarella (cut into ½” cubes)

For Serving:

  • 24 oz marinara sauce

  • Fresh basil (optional)


Instructions

  1. Prep: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.

  2. Mix: Combine all meatball ingredients (except mozzarella) in a large bowl.

  3. Stuff: Form 2 tbsp meat mixture around each mozzarella cube, sealing completely.

  4. Bake: Arrange on tray and bake 20-25 mins until golden (165°F internal temp).

  5. Serve: Simmer meatballs in warm marinara for 5 mins or serve immediately.

Notes

  • Make Ahead: Freeze unbaked meatballs for 3 months (add 5 mins to bake time).

  • Cheese Swap: Try provolone or fontina for different melts.

  • Crisper Finish: Broil 1-2 mins at the end.
