Description

Baked Ziti is a hearty and comforting Italian-American dish made with ziti pasta, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, mozzarella, and Parmesan. It’s a crowd-pleaser, perfect for family dinners or gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ziti pasta
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Cook ziti according to package instructions; drain.
  • In a large bowl, mix cooked ziti, marinara sauce, ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  • Layer half of the mixture in a baking dish, sprinkle with half of the mozzarella cheese. Add the remaining mixture and top with the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  • Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until bubbly and the top is golden. Serve hot.

Notes

For a crispier top, you can broil the ziti for an additional 2-3 minutes after baking.
