Description

Banana Cream Pie Bliss is a dreamy dessert featuring a smooth and creamy filling made with ripe bananas, vanilla custard, and a buttery graham cracker crust. Topped with fluffy whipped cream, this pie is the ultimate indulgence, perfect for any special occasion or just a sweet treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/3 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 tablespoon powdered sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (for whipped cream)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press the mixture into the bottom of a 9-inch pie pan, forming a crust. Bake for 8-10 minutes, then let it cool completely.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk. Let it sit for 5 minutes to thicken.
  4. Once the graham cracker crust has cooled, spread a layer of sliced bananas over the bottom of the crust.
  5. Pour the vanilla pudding mixture over the bananas, spreading it evenly with a spatula.
  6. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until soft peaks form.
  7. Spread the whipped cream over the pudding layer, smoothing it out with a spatula.
  8. Chill the pie in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours, or until set. Garnish with additional banana slices or crushed graham crackers, if desired, before serving.

Notes

  • For a twist, you can add a sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg to the pudding mixture.
  • For extra richness, substitute the instant pudding mix with a homemade vanilla custard.
  • Make sure to keep the pie refrigerated as it contains dairy and bananas.
