Description

Banana Pudding Lush is a creamy, layered dessert featuring a buttery graham cracker crust, a silky vanilla pudding layer, and topped with fresh banana slices and whipped cream. It’s a decadent, no-bake treat perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 1/2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 package (3.4 oz) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/2 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 container (8 oz) whipped topping, thawed
  • 3 ripe bananas, sliced
  • Additional whipped topping for garnish (optional)
  • Shaved chocolate or additional graham cracker crumbs for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a medium bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Stir until evenly mixed, then press the mixture into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish to form the crust.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together the instant vanilla pudding mix and cold milk. Let it set for about 2 minutes until it thickens.
  3. In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth. Add the vanilla extract and mix until fully incorporated.
  4. Fold the whipped topping into the cream cheese mixture until well combined and smooth.
  5. Spread the cream cheese mixture over the graham cracker crust in an even layer.
  6. Top with the vanilla pudding layer, spreading it evenly over the cream cheese mixture.
  7. Layer the sliced bananas on top of the pudding.
  8. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3-4 hours, or overnight, to allow the layers to set and flavors to meld.
  9. Before serving, garnish with additional whipped topping, shaved chocolate, or extra graham cracker crumbs, if desired.

Notes

  • Make sure the bananas are fresh and ripe for the best flavor and texture.
  • For a fun twist, you can add a layer of caramel sauce or crushed nuts on top.
  • Store leftovers in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days, but the bananas may start to brown over time.
