Description

These Bang Bang Chicken Sliders are mini flavor bombs packed with crispy chicken, tossed in a creamy spicy sauce, and tucked into soft slider buns with crunchy slaw. Perfect for parties, game days, or just a fun dinner!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • Vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp Sriracha (adjust to taste)
  • 12 slider buns
  • 1 cup coleslaw mix
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine buttermilk and chicken pieces. Let it marinate for at least 30 minutes in the refrigerator.
  2. In another bowl, mix flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
  3. Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or fryer to 350°F (175°C).
  4. Remove chicken from buttermilk, dredge in the flour mixture, and fry in batches until golden brown and cooked through, about 4–5 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
  5. In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, sweet chili sauce, and Sriracha to make the Bang Bang sauce.
  6. In another bowl, toss coleslaw mix with rice vinegar, sugar, and salt to lightly pickle it. Let sit for 10–15 minutes.
  7. Toss the fried chicken pieces in the Bang Bang sauce until well coated.
  8. Toast slider buns if desired, then layer with slaw, sauced chicken, and top with the bun lids.
  9. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • Make it spicier by adding extra Sriracha to the sauce.
  • Use pre-cooked chicken tenders or nuggets in a pinch.
  • You can bake the chicken instead of frying for a lighter version.
  • Great with pickles or extra drizzle of Bang Bang sauce on top!
