Ingredients
-
1 lb ground beef
-
1 tbsp olive oil
-
1 small onion, finely chopped
-
2 tbsp ketchup
-
2 tbsp yellow mustard
-
2 tbsp pickle relish
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp onion powder
-
1 tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
-
1 can (8 oz) refrigerated biscuit dough
-
½ cup Big Mac sauce (store-bought or homemade)
-
2 tbsp sesame seeds (optional)
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
-
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped onion and cook for 3-4 minutes until softened.
-
Add the ground beef to the skillet and cook, breaking it up with a spoon, until browned. Drain any excess fat.
-
Stir in the ketchup, mustard, pickle relish, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, then remove from heat. Let the beef mixture cool slightly.
-
Roll out the biscuit dough and separate the biscuits. Flatten each biscuit into a small round with your hands or a rolling pin.
-
Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the beef mixture into the center of each biscuit. Top with a tablespoon of shredded cheddar cheese.
-
Fold the edges of the biscuit dough over the filling, pinching the seams to seal.
-
Place each dough ball seam-side down on a greased baking sheet. If desired, sprinkle sesame seeds on top of each dough ball for added flavor.
-
Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the biscuit dough is golden brown and fully cooked.
-
While the bombs are baking, warm the Big Mac sauce in a small saucepan or microwave.
-
Once the bombs are done, remove from the oven and drizzle with Big Mac sauce before serving.
-
Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
-
If you prefer a different cheese, you can substitute cheddar with American or Swiss.
-
You can make your own Big Mac sauce by mixing mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, onion powder, and garlic powder.
-
For extra flavor, add some chopped pickles inside the bombs or on top after baking.
