Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning or 1 tbsp hamburger seasoning
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
- 1/2 cup pickles, sliced
- 1/4 cup onions, finely chopped
- 1 cup shredded iceberg lettuce
- 1/4 cup special sauce (recipe below or use Thousand Island dressing)
Special Sauce (optional):
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard
- 1 tbsp finely chopped pickles or relish
- 1 tsp white vinegar
- 1/4 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and prepare your pizza dough by rolling it out on a baking sheet or pizza stone.
- Cook the Ground Beef: In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon as it cooks. Drain excess fat. Add taco seasoning or hamburger seasoning to the meat and stir to combine. Set aside.
- Make the Special Sauce (Optional): In a small bowl, whisk together mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, pickles, vinegar, paprika, salt, and pepper. Adjust seasonings to taste.
- Assemble the Pizza: Spread a thin layer of the special sauce (or Thousand Island dressing) over the pizza dough. Top with the cooked ground beef, followed by a mix of cheddar and mozzarella cheese.
- Bake the Pizza: Bake the pizza in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Add Fresh Toppings: Once the pizza is baked, remove it from the oven. Top with sliced pickles, chopped onions, and shredded lettuce. Drizzle with more special sauce if desired.
- Serve: Slice and serve your Big Mac pizza hot for a fun and delicious twist on a classic favorite!
Notes
- Feel free to add additional toppings like tomatoes or bacon for extra flavor!
- For a more authentic Big Mac experience, try adding a few slices of American cheese to the pizza before baking.
- You can use pre-made pizza dough or make your own if preferred.
- If you prefer a thicker crust, you can use a deeper dish pizza pan for a thicker base.
