- 4 slices thick sliced bread (such as Sara Leeยฎ Artesanoโข)
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 4 ounces brie cheese, sliced
- 1/2 cup blueberries (or blackberries or strawberries)
- 2 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, sliced (optional)
Instructions
- Heat a skillet over medium heat.
- Butter one side of each bread slice. Place two slices butter-side down in the skillet.
- Top each slice with brie cheese.
- Add berries and optional cheddar cheese over the brie.
- Top with remaining bread slices, butter side facing out.
- Cook for 3โ4 minutes per side until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
Notes
- You can substitute the berries with thinly sliced peaches, pears, or apples.
- Add 2 oz of prosciutto or thinly shaved ham for a savory touch.
- Best enjoyed immediately while warm and melty.
