Description

These Blueberry, Strawberry, and Carrot Balls are a healthy, tasty, and easy-to-make treat for your furry friend! Packed with fruits and veggies, they’re a nutritious snack your dog will love. Perfect for rewarding or just treating your dog to something special!

Ingredients

Scale
  • ½ cup fresh blueberries
  • ½ cup fresh strawberries, hulled
  • 1 small carrot, grated
  • 1 cup oats (gluten-free oats if needed)
  • 1 tablespoon peanut butter (unsweetened and xylitol-free)
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil (optional, for added healthy fats)

Instructions

  1. Wash and prepare the blueberries and strawberries. Hull the strawberries and cut them into smaller pieces.
  2. Grate the carrot into fine shreds.
  3. In a blender or food processor, combine the blueberries, strawberries, and grated carrot. Pulse to chop the ingredients into small pieces.
  4. Add the oats, peanut butter, and coconut oil (if using) to the mixture, and blend until well combined.
  5. Scoop out small portions of the mixture and roll them into bite-sized balls.
  6. Place the balls on a parchment-lined tray and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to firm up.
  7. Once set, store the balls in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week. Serve as a treat for your dog!

Notes

  • Ensure that the peanut butter used is xylitol-free, as xylitol is toxic to dogs.
  • You can adjust the size of the balls depending on the size of your dog. Just make sure they are small enough for your dog to enjoy without choking hazards.
  • These treats should be served in moderation as part of a balanced diet.
