Description

These Breakfast Rolls with Sausage, Egg, and Cheese are a perfect combination of savory, cheesy goodness wrapped in soft, fluffy rolls. Ideal for breakfast, brunch, or a quick snack, these rolls are easy to make and packed with protein to keep you full and satisfied!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound breakfast sausage
  • 1 tube (8 oz) refrigerated crescent roll dough
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter (optional, for greasing)

Instructions

  • Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet with butter or cooking spray.
  • Cook Sausage: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the breakfast sausage until browned and crumbled. Drain any excess grease and set aside.
  • Cook Eggs: In a separate pan, scramble the eggs with a pinch of salt and pepper. Cook over low heat until just set, stirring occasionally. Set aside to cool slightly.
  • Prepare Crescent Rolls: Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into individual triangles. Lay them flat on a clean surface.
  • Assemble Rolls: In the center of each dough triangle, place a spoonful of cooked sausage, scrambled eggs, and a generous amount of shredded cheese.
  • Roll Up: Starting from the wide end of each triangle, roll it up tightly, sealing the edges to enclose the filling. Place the rolls on the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down.
  • Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the crescent rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  • Serve: Let the rolls cool for a few minutes before serving. Enjoy them warm for a delicious, savory breakfast or brunch.

Notes

  • You can substitute the sausage for cooked bacon, ham, or turkey sausage for different variations.
  • For extra flavor, add a sprinkle of garlic powder, onion powder, or hot sauce to the egg mixture.
  • You can make these ahead of time and store them in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the oven to maintain the crispiness.
