Description
This Brie, Apple, and Honey Crostini is a quick, elegant appetizer that combines creamy brie, sweet apple butter, crisp apples, and a touch of honey on toasted baguette slices. Perfect for parties or holiday gatherings, it’s ready in just 15 minutes!
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 baguette, cut into ½-inch slices
- 1 jar apple butter (about 1–2 teaspoons per slice)
- 6 ounces brie, sliced thin (Murray’s brie recommended)
- 2 large apples, thinly sliced
- Squeeze of fresh lemon juice
- ½ cup candied pecans, chopped
- Honey, for drizzling
Instructions
- Prepare the Baguette: Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Spread about 1–2 teaspoons of apple butter on one side of each baguette slice. Arrange the slices on a large baking sheet.
- Add Brie and Bake: Place a thin slice of brie on top of each baguette slice. Bake in the preheated oven for 5–7 minutes, or until the brie is melted.
- Prepare the Apples: While the crostini bakes, slice the apples thinly and remove the core. Squeeze fresh lemon juice over the apple slices to prevent browning.
- Assemble the Crostini: Remove the crostini from the oven and top each with an apple slice. Sprinkle chopped candied pecans evenly over the crostini. Drizzle with honey to finish.
- Serve: Serve immediately while warm for the best flavor and texture.
Notes
- Apple Butter: You can adjust the amount of apple butter based on how sweet you want the crostini.
- Candied Pecans: You can use regular toasted pecans if you prefer less sweetness.
- Serving Tip: Serve immediately while warm for the best flavor and texture.
