Description
Brown Sugar Pineapple Wings Chicken are crispy chicken wings coated in a sticky, sweet, and tangy glaze made from brown sugar and pineapple, perfect for parties or game day.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs chicken wings, tips removed
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon grated fresh ginger
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon chili flakes (optional for heat)
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- Chopped green onions and sesame seeds for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with foil and place a wire rack on top.
- Pat chicken wings dry and season with salt and pepper.
- Arrange wings on the wire rack and bake for 35-40 minutes, turning halfway, until crispy and cooked through.
- While wings bake, combine brown sugar, pineapple juice, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, olive oil, and chili flakes in a small saucepan.
- Bring to a simmer over medium heat and cook for 10-15 minutes until the sauce thickens to a glaze consistency.
- Remove wings from oven and toss them in the warm brown sugar pineapple glaze until well coated.
- Return glazed wings to the rack and bake for an additional 5 minutes to set the glaze.
- Garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds before serving.
Notes
- For extra crispiness, broil wings for 2-3 minutes after glazing.
- Use fresh pineapple juice if possible for the best flavor.
- Adjust chili flakes to your preferred spice level or omit for mild wings.
