Instructions

Make the brownie filling:

Melt butter and chocolate chips together in a microwave-safe bowl. Stir until smooth.

Whisk in sugar, egg, and vanilla. Stir in flour, cocoa powder, and salt.

Spoon small scoops (about 1 tsp each) onto the prepared sheet. Freeze for 30–60 minutes, or until firm.
Make the cookie dough:

In a large bowl, cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add dry ingredients to wet mixture. Stir in chocolate chips.
