Description
A spicy, tangy, and utterly satisfying dish featuring tender chicken coated in a bold buffalo sauce. Perfect for serving as a main dish, appetizer, or on top of a salad!
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (or thighs)
- 1/2 cup buffalo sauce (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
- 1 tablespoon chopped parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Season the chicken breasts with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Place the chicken in the skillet and cook for about 4-5 minutes on each side until the chicken is golden brown. It doesn’t need to be fully cooked yet.
- Transfer the partially cooked chicken to a baking dish.
- In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the buffalo sauce and stir to combine. Pour the buffalo sauce mixture over the chicken.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until the chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Once cooked, remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for a few minutes.
- Garnish with chopped parsley, if desired, and serve hot. Enjoy!
Notes
- You can adjust the spiciness of the dish by adding more or less buffalo sauce.
- For a milder version, use a mix of buffalo sauce and ranch or blue cheese dressing in the sauce.
- This dish can be served as is, or shredded for sandwiches, wraps, or salads.
