Description

This spicy and creamy Buffalo Hummus brings a bold twist to your classic hummus. With the perfect balance of tangy buffalo sauce and smooth chickpeas, this dip is a game-changer for your snack table or party spread. Pair it with veggies, crackers, or pita for an irresistible, zesty appetizer!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed

  • 3 tbsp buffalo sauce (adjust to your spice preference)

  • 2 tbsp tahini

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 clove garlic, minced

  • ½ tsp salt (or to taste)

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • 12 tbsp water (for desired consistency)

  • Optional garnish: Crumbled blue cheese, chopped green onions, or extra buffalo sauce for drizzle

Instructions

  1. Blend the hummus: In a food processor or blender, combine the chickpeas, buffalo sauce, tahini, olive oil, lemon juice, garlic, salt, and black pepper. Blend until smooth, scraping down the sides as needed.

  2. Adjust the consistency: Add water, 1 tablespoon at a time, and continue blending until the hummus reaches your desired creamy consistency.

  3. Taste and adjust: Taste the hummus and adjust seasoning as needed—add more buffalo sauce for extra spice or more lemon juice for added brightness.

  4. Garnish and serve: Transfer the hummus to a serving bowl and garnish with crumbled blue cheese, chopped green onions, or an extra drizzle of buffalo sauce for an added kick. Serve with pita chips, fresh vegetables, or crackers.

Notes

  • If you want a milder version, reduce the buffalo sauce or choose a mild buffalo sauce.

  • For an extra creamy texture, peel the skins off the chickpeas before blending.

  • You can store leftover hummus in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4-5 days.

  • Add a sprinkle of celery salt or smoked paprika on top for added flavor.
