Description

This homemade Buffalo Wing Sauce is the perfect balance of spicy, tangy, and buttery. Ideal for tossing with crispy wings or drizzling over your favorite snacks. Customize the heat level to suit your taste!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1/2 cup hot sauce (Frankโ€™s RedHot is a popular choice)
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon smoked paprika (optional, for extra flavor)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
  2. Once melted, add the hot sauce, white vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika (if using), salt, and black pepper. Stir to combine.
  3. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Remove from heat and allow the sauce to cool slightly before using. Toss with freshly cooked chicken wings or store in an airtight container for later use.

Notes

  • For extra heat, increase the amount of hot sauce or add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
  • For a milder sauce, reduce the amount of hot sauce and add more butter.
  • This sauce can be stored in the fridge for up to a week.
