Description
Butter-Basted Broiled Lobster Tails are a luxurious and easy-to-make seafood dish. The lobster tails are broiled to perfection and topped with a rich, garlic butter sauce that enhances their natural sweetness, making them an elegant choice for special occasions or a simple indulgent dinner.
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 lobster tails (6–8 oz each)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
- 1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
- Lemon wedges (for garnish)
- Fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat the broiler to high heat and position the rack about 6 inches from the heat source.
- Using kitchen scissors, carefully cut down the top of each lobster tail shell, stopping just before the tail fin. Gently pull the lobster meat out of the shell, keeping it attached at the base. Rest the lobster meat on top of the shell for presentation.
- Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet lined with aluminum foil or parchment paper.
- In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, chopped parsley, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper. Stir well to combine.
- Brush the lobster meat generously with the butter mixture, reserving a little of the butter for basting during broiling.
- Broil the lobster tails for 8-10 minutes, or until the meat is opaque and slightly golden on top. Baste the lobster with the remaining butter halfway through the cooking time for extra flavor and moisture.
- Remove from the broiler and let the lobster tails rest for a couple of minutes before serving.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and lemon wedges. Serve immediately and enjoy!
Notes
- If you prefer a slightly spicier lobster, add a pinch of cayenne pepper or red pepper flakes to the butter mixture.
- Make sure not to overcook the lobster, as it can become tough. The meat should be firm and opaque but still tender.
- For a slightly smoky flavor, you can add a few drops of liquid smoke to the butter mixture.
