Description
A delightful treat combining creamy peanut butter, sweet butterscotch chips, and colorful mini marshmallows, perfect for a quick dessert or snack.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter
- 1 (11 oz) bag butterscotch chips
- 3 cups mini marshmallows (preferably colorful)
Instructions
- Melt the Peanut Butter Mixture: In a large saucepan, melt the butter and peanut butter over low heat. Stir until smooth and creamy, taking care not to overheat or burn.
- Add the Butterscotch Chips: Add the butterscotch chips to the melted peanut butter mixture. Stir until fully melted and incorporated. Remove from heat and let it cool for a few minutes.
- Fold in the Marshmallows: Gently fold in the mini marshmallows until evenly coated with the butterscotch-peanut butter mixture.
- Pour into the Pan: Line an 8×8-inch (or 9×9-inch) pan with parchment paper for easy removal. Pour the mixture into the pan and spread it out evenly.
- Chill and Set: Place the pan in the refrigerator for about 1-2 hours, or until the squares are firm and set.
- Cut and Serve: Once firm, lift the dessert out of the pan using the parchment paper and cut into squares.
Notes
- For added flavor, consider sprinkling a bit of sea salt on top before chilling.
- Store any leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
