Description

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  3. Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
  5. Fold in the butterscotch chips, toffee bits, and chopped pecans (if using).
  6. Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish, pressing it down into an even layer.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The bars should be set but still soft in the middle.
