- 1 cup butterscotch chips
- 1/2 cup toffee bits (such as Heath Bar bits)

Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease or line a 9×13-inch baking dish with parchment paper for easy removal.
- In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 3 minutes.
- Add the eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
- Fold in the butterscotch chips, toffee bits, and chopped pecans (if using).
- Spread the dough evenly into the prepared baking dish, pressing it down into an even layer.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. The bars should be set but still soft in the middle.
- Allow the bars to cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares or bars. Enjoy!

- If you prefer a stronger butterscotch flavor, increase the amount of butterscotch chips by 1/2 cup.
