Description

These Buttery Garlic Baked Croissants with Turkey & Havarti are the perfect combination of savory flavors wrapped in a golden, flaky croissant. The rich, buttery garlic seasoning pairs beautifully with tender turkey and creamy Havarti cheese, making this dish perfect for a quick lunch or indulgent snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large croissants (fresh or day-old)
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (optional)
  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt (or to taste)
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 12 oz sliced turkey breast (deli meat)
  • 6 slices Havarti cheese (or more if preferred)
  • Optional: Fresh greens (such as spinach or arugula) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Garlic Butter:
In a small bowl, mix together the melted butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley (if using), garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Stir until the mixture is well combined.
  2. Prepare the Croissants:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Slice each croissant in half horizontally, creating a top and bottom for each.
  3. Brush with Garlic Butter:
Use a brush to generously spread the garlic butter mixture onto the cut sides of each croissant half. Make sure to coat both the top and bottom of each croissant with the buttery mixture.
  4. Assemble the Croissants:
On the bottom half of each croissant, layer slices of turkey breast and a slice of Havarti cheese. Place the top half of the croissant on top.
  5. Bake the Croissants:
Arrange the assembled croissants on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake in the preheated oven for 8-10 minutes, or until the croissants are golden brown and the cheese has melted.
  6. Serve:
Once baked, remove the croissants from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes. Optionally, garnish with fresh greens or extra parsley for a fresh touch. Serve warm and enjoy!

Notes

  • You can add extra flavor by incorporating a small amount of Dijon mustard or cranberry sauce to the turkey for added contrast.
  • Feel free to substitute Havarti with other melty cheeses like Swiss, provolone, or cheddar if you prefer.
  • These croissants are perfect for serving at a brunch, as an appetizer, or as a simple, delicious lunch.
