- 2 tbsp milk
- Colored sprinkles or chocolate for decorating
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 3-4 minutes.
- Beat in the egg, vanilla extract, and almond extract (if using) until well combined.
- Gradually add the flour and mix until a dough forms. If the dough is too dry, add milk 1 tablespoon at a time.
- Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe dough into shapes (rosettes, stars, etc.) onto the prepared baking sheets.
- Decorate the cookies with sprinkles if desired, or leave them plain to dip in melted chocolate after baking.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes or until the edges are lightly golden.
- Let the cookies cool completely before decorating with chocolate or additional sprinkles if desired.
