  • This one-pan dish brings the comforting flavors of traditional cabbage rolls to your table in a fraction of the time. Ground beef, tender cabbage, and savory seasonings come together for a hearty meal thatโ€™s perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 pound ground beef

  • 1 (14.5-ounce) can diced tomatoes

  • 1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

  • 1 teaspoon smoked paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar

  • 5 cups chopped green cabbage (about 1 medium head)

  • 1 tablespoon chopped fresh dill or parsley, plus more for serving

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; sautรฉ until softened, about 5 minutes.

  2. Add ground beef to the skillet; cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat if necessary.

  4. Add chopped cabbage to the skillet; stir to combine. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until cabbage is tender, about 20โ€“25 minutes.

  6. Serve hot, garnished with additional fresh herbs if desired

Notes

  • For a low-carb version, serve over cauliflower rice.

  • Feel free to add other vegetables like bell peppers or carrots for added flavor and nutrition.
