Ingredients
For the Tart Shell:
- 1 ½ cups digestive biscuit crumbs (or graham cracker crumbs)
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tbsp granulated sugar
For the Mousse:
- 4 Cadbury Flake chocolate bars (about 35g each)
- 1 ½ cups heavy whipping cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1 tbsp gelatin (optional, for extra firmness)
For Decoration:
- 2 additional Cadbury Flake bars, broken into pieces
- Fresh berries (optional)
Instructions
-
Prepare the Tart Shell:
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine the digestive biscuit crumbs, melted butter, and sugar. Mix well until everything is moistened. Press the mixture into the base and sides of a tart pan, creating an even layer. Bake for 8-10 minutes or until lightly golden. Allow to cool completely. -
Make the Mousse:
In a microwave-safe bowl, break up the Cadbury Flake chocolate bars. Melt the chocolate gently in the microwave, heating in 20-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Set aside to cool slightly. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with vanilla extract and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form. If using gelatin, dissolve it in a little warm water and add it to the melted chocolate. Gently fold the whipped cream into the chocolate until smooth and well combined.
-
Assemble the Tart:
Once the tart shell has cooled, pour the mousse mixture into the tart shell, spreading it evenly with a spatula. Chill in the fridge for at least 3 hours or until the mousse is set and firm. -
Decorate and Serve:
Before serving, top the mousse tart with broken pieces of Cadbury Flake and fresh berries if desired. Slice and enjoy!
Notes
- If you want a firmer mousse, add gelatin to the chocolate mixture before folding in the whipped cream.
- You can also decorate with whipped cream or other chocolate garnishes for an extra touch.
- The tart shell can be made in advance and stored at room temperature for up to 3 days.
