A creamy and delicious twist on the classic Caesar salad, this Caesar Pasta Salad combines tender pasta, crunchy croutons, fresh Romaine, and a rich Caesar dressing. It’s the perfect side dish or light meal for any occasion!
Ingredients
-
8 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or bowtie work well)
-
2 cups Romaine lettuce, chopped
-
1/2 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
-
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
-
1/4 cup croutons
-
1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (optional)
-
1/4 tsp black pepper (optional)
Instructions
-
Cook the Pasta:
Cook the pasta according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside to cool. -
Prepare the Salad:
In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooled pasta, chopped Romaine lettuce, and Caesar dressing. Toss gently until everything is evenly coated with the dressing. -
Add the Toppings:
Sprinkle grated Parmesan cheese and croutons over the salad. If desired, garnish with freshly chopped parsley and a sprinkle of black pepper. -
Serve:
Serve immediately or refrigerate for 1-2 hours to chill. This salad is best served cold.
Notes
-
For extra protein, add grilled chicken or bacon bits to the salad.
-
You can use homemade Caesar dressing if you prefer a fresher, more customizable option.
-
If you’re making this salad ahead of time, store the pasta and dressing separately and toss everything together right before serving to avoid sogginess.
