- 1/4 cup fresh basil leaves
- 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
- 2 tablespoons balsamic glaze (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions
- Arrange the salad: On a large serving platter, alternate the slices of tomato and mozzarella in a circular pattern or in rows.
- Add the basil: Tuck fresh basil leaves between the tomato and mozzarella slices.
- Drizzle with olive oil: Drizzle extra virgin olive oil evenly over the entire salad.
- Add balsamic glaze: Drizzle balsamic glaze over the salad for a tangy and sweet finish.
- Season: Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
- Serve: Serve immediately as an appetizer, side dish, or light main course.
Notes
- For homemade balsamic glaze, simply simmer balsamic vinegar in a saucepan over low heat until it reduces by half and becomes syrupy.
- Feel free to add a pinch of crushed red pepper flakes if you like a little heat.
- This salad can be made ahead of time, but for the best flavor, assemble it right before serving.
