Description

Ingredients

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 1/2 cups milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1/2 cup applesauce
  • 1/4 cup maple syrup or honey
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 apples, peeled and diced
  • 1/4 cup caramel sauce (plus extra for drizzling)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup chopped nuts (like walnuts or pecans) and 1/4 cup raisins

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
  • In a large bowl, mix rolled oats, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk together milk, applesauce, maple syrup (or honey), and vanilla extract. Stir in diced apples.
  • Combine wet and dry mixtures, then spread evenly in the baking dish. Drizzle with caramel sauce and sprinkle with optional nuts and raisins.
  • Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden brown and set. Let cool before slicing and serving.
