Description

This Chamomile & Honey Sleepytime Latte is a soothing and calming drink perfect for winding down before bed. The combination of chamomile tea, honey, and creamy milk creates a comforting, caffeine-free beverage that promotes relaxation and a restful night’s sleep.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 chamomile tea bag or 1 tablespoon dried chamomile flowers
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup milk (dairy or non-dairy)
  • 1 tablespoon honey (or to taste)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
  • A pinch of ground cinnamon (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Brew the Tea: In a small saucepan, bring 1 cup of water to a simmer. Add the chamomile tea bag or dried chamomile flowers and let it steep for 5-7 minutes.
  2. Heat the Milk: In a separate saucepan, warm the milk over low heat until it’s steaming but not boiling. You can froth the milk with a milk frother if you prefer a creamy texture.
  3. Combine and Sweeten: Remove the tea bag (or strain the chamomile flowers) and stir in the honey and vanilla extract (if using) into the tea.
  4. Assemble the Latte: Pour the brewed chamomile tea into a mug and top with the warm milk.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of ground cinnamon on top for a touch of spice. Sip slowly and enjoy the calming effects before bedtime.

Notes

  • For extra relaxation, try adding a few drops of lavender extract or essential oil to the drink.
  • You can adjust the sweetness by adding more or less honey depending on your preference.
  • Non-dairy milk such as almond milk, oat milk, or coconut milk works well in this recipe.
