Ingredients

  • 1 cup cooked crab meat
  • 1 cup cooked shrimp, chopped
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup half-and-half or heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp black pepper
  • 1/4 tsp paprika
  • 1 package (about 24) mini phyllo or pastry shells


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, half-and-half, salt, pepper, and paprika.
  3. Stir in crab meat, shrimp, cheddar cheese, and green onions.
  4. Place mini pastry shells on a baking sheet.
  5. Spoon the filling evenly into each shell, filling almost to the top.
  6. Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until the filling is set and lightly golden.
  7. Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving.

Notes

  • Use fresh or canned crab meat depending on availability.
  • Substitute cream with milk for a lighter version.
