Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

  • ¼ tsp garlic powder (optional)
  • 2 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp dried parsley (optional)
  • 2 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a loaf pan with parchment paper.

  2. Mix Dry Ingredients: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, salt, and garlic powder.

  3. Combine Wet Ingredients: In another bowl, whisk together the melted butter, milk, and egg until smooth.

  4. Add the Cheese: Stir in both the shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese into the wet ingredients.

  5. Combine Everything: Gradually add the wet ingredients to the dry ingredients and mix until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.

  6. Bake the Bread: Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese and dried parsley on top if using.

    • Bake for 35-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
