Description

A flavorful twist on classic cheeseburgers wrapped in a soft tortilla, loaded with seasoned ground beef, melted cheese, pickles, grilled onions, and special sauce inspired by ‘Animal Style’ flavors.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 4 slices cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup pickles, sliced
  • 1/2 cup shredded lettuce
  • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes (optional)
  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil
  • For Animal Style Sauce:
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp sweet pickle relish
  • 1 tsp white vinegar
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, heat vegetable oil and cook onions until caramelized, about 8-10 minutes. Remove and set aside.
  2. In the same skillet, cook ground beef until browned and cooked through. Season with salt and pepper.
  3. Mix mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard, relish, vinegar, salt, and pepper to make the Animal Style sauce.
  4. Warm tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
  5. To assemble each burrito, layer cooked ground beef, caramelized onions, a slice of cheese, pickles, shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and a generous drizzle of the Animal Style sauce.
  6. Roll up the tortilla tightly, folding in the sides as you go.
  7. Optional: Toast the burritos in a skillet for 2-3 minutes per side until golden and cheese is melted.
  8. Serve warm with extra sauce on the side.
